The take away of this video is that the Geographic Coordinate Systems (by using angles relative to the center point of the earth) defines every location on the earth.
The task is to now project that Geographic Coordinate System to a 2D map and give it coordinate system (datum) that reflect the Geographic Coordinate System with minimal distortion.
